British soprano Laura Wright has been announced as an official Ladies Day Ambassador for the Crabbie's Grand National 2016 (taking place April 8).

Wright commented 'Ladies Day is such a colourful day and it is wonderful seeing so many women really make the effort to look stylish and glamourous. Combined with the excitement around the racing itself, it is a really unique event that Liverpool should be very proud of. I am also honoured to be asked to sing the National Anthem before the world's most famous horse race, The Grand National'.
